We purchased a blood pressure monitor that probably saved my husband! After taking his blood pressure his bpm was 166, we immediately got him to the hospital. Several days after that it went dark for some reason, I was already stressed & now I had to buy another, I decided to call Vive health just to see if maybe I was doing something wrong, the agent who took my call immediately said not to worry she would get another to me, I had it in 3 days! I would definitely recommend this company to everyone!
Excellent customer service & that's hard to find these days! Can this blood pressure monitor be used on children? Our cuff size ranges from 22 – 32cm. This standard cuff size can accommodate a small to large sized adult.
Blood pressure is the force on the walls of your blood vessels as blood flows through them. Your heart is like a pump. When it contracts, pressure increases (systolic pressure). When your heart relaxes blood pres-sure decreases (diastolic pressure).
The recommended cuff size for a child ranges from 12 – 18cm. A cuff size too large can underestimate a blood pressure reading.
My blood pressure cuff won't inflate and I am receiving E1 error. What should I do?
First, make sure the cuff is plugged properly into the left side of the device. The right side port is for optional (not included). What does Systolic and Diastolic mean? Systolic is the top number in your blood pressure reading, and is the larger number. This number indicates the measure of pressure in the arteries when the heart beats, or contracts. Diastolic is the bottom and smaller number in your blood pressure reading.
This number indicates the pressure in the arteries between heartbeats, or when the heart muscle is resting between beats and refilling with blood. Read more about understanding blood pressure here. What do Prehypertension, Hypertension Stage 1, Hypertension Stage 2, and Hypertensive Crisis mean? Prehypertension is a warning that you may develop high blood pressure in the future. Hypertension Stage 1 is high blood pressure, and typically diuretic medication is recommended.
